Greening
Cleanliness - the basis of health and the mirror of feeling. Once upon a time, so was the Izvorul Muntelui Lake, the largest reservoir in Romania, located at the foot of the Ceahlă, but due to the negligence of some, we can no longer enjoy its beauty. The volunteers of JuvenALA association from Neamț county decided to bring back the enchanting view from the heart of the mountains in the summer of 2017 through the CurățeALA project, in partnership with Neamț County Council.
History CleanALA
CurățeALA is the continuation of the Sens Civic Association's initiative, "Cleanup Time", which, to the disappointment of the volunteers, failed to provide enough material and logistical resources. Because of this, the result was the greening of a maximum of 30% of the banks, amounting to approximately 11 tons of waste. This time, we are determined to completely free the Mountain Spring Lake from the bondage of accumulated rubbish on the banks! Tourism in this area has almost died, as tourists flee eating the land when they see a natural wonder sleeping for years under a thick blanket of PETs.
What do we want to do?
With new and fresh forces, the volunteers are back, eager to rid the Mountain Spring Lake of all waste, so that tourists will come back with love and the life of the locals will become easier. To accomplish this, the activity will take place over 3 days during which the volunteers will camp in Hangu Bay, with three meals, toilet and showers provided and the necessary working materials at their disposal, prepared by the volunteer cooks and the organizers. Also, so that the volunteers' work does not lack entertainment (besides the beauty of teamwork for a good cause), every evening there will be an artistic moment around a campfire.
Why get involved?
Volunteering is the message to humanity that it can also do good, not just destruction, and for any person who wants to contribute to the betterment of the world, but especially for a young person in training, volunteering is an unforgettable experience, where you will meet many others like you, have fun in an educational community, and, most importantly, learn to manage and work on your own, thus fulfilling the very mission of JuvenALA: To educate towards multidimensional development by establishing healthy connections with the environment, by knowing your own individuality and utilizing resources in a unique, original, active, needs-oriented, knowledge-oriented, and personal developmental manner.
