History

Meaning of the name Juvenala comes from Latin and means "Young Wings.

Story Juvenala emerged in the Bavarian Alps when I was counseling adolescents with behavioral problems or mental disorders. Together with them, we roamed the mountain ridges for a long time, cycled through the forests, rowed the Canadian on German rivers or looked for the southern winds in the stern of the catamaran, and often succeeded in helping them to find their way back to normality. At the same time we organized and participated in social and voluntary activities in villages in Morocco and Spain, environmental activities in the Bavarian Forest Mountains, on the banks of the Danube or German rivers.

All my experiences as a therapist have brought me closer to nature and created in me an admiration for the German state, which invests a lot in the education of adolescents in children and youth homes, correctional centers or juvenile psychiatry clinics for young people with cognitive dysfunctions or mental and behavioral disorders.

I wondered, "if the Germans are creating extraordinary educational conditions for young people who threaten the tranquility of tomorrow's society, what about those who learn well and are eager to experience nature activities?"

Romanian Olympians in mathematics, physics and other subjects bring home valuable medals from all over the world but the Romanian state does not honor these successes. Thus the initiative to invite these Romanian pupils to the Bavarian Alps to develop their emotional and social skills.

After several camps organized in Germany, parents were asking when we can develop the activities carried out abroad and here in Romania. The possibility through which every human being can progress emotionally and socially, is the activity of physical and mental improvement, of inter- and intra-personal knowledge: VOLUNTEERING!

Association Juvenala Educational aims to adapt the knowledge acquired in 26 years of activity in Germany to the current local and national Romanian needs.

We are convinced that young people in Romania want to volunteer in organizing and solving different social, educational or environmental problems and to take pride in being involved in these activities and in their achievements.

The power of example is an important goal of our association. We have a duty to try every day, in every activity, to become role models for those around us. For friends, family, strangers. But first and foremost for ourselves.

And our young volunteers, with small steps and self-confidence, will become Great and Strong People.
